State House, Providence, RI – Members of the Rhode Island House Republican Caucus will submit legislation to address COVID-19 mandates that have denied access to individuals in hospitals, group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and Veterans Homes.

State House, Providence - Rhode Island House Republicans responded to a letter sent to members of the General Assembly by IGT/Twin River via email earlier today (7/23/20). The IGT/Twin River letter was drafted in response to an email sent to RI House and Senate membership earlier in the week by House Republicans (7/20/20), who cited concerns in the proposed gaming contract as reported by the taxpayer funded independent gaming consultant, Christiansen Capital Advisors (CCA). House Republicans have been calling for CCA to testify before the House Finance Committee since March. The taxpayer funded independent study cost $165,000 and included two visits by CCA to Rhode Island to explain their concerning findings to legislators.

State House, Providence – Rhode Island House and Senate Republicans unanimously stand with Lt. Governor Dan McKee and RI small business coalitions across the state, calling on Governor Raimondo to immediately allocate federal COVID-19 relief funds to help save Rhode Island’s struggling small and micro business enterprises. An online petition has launched, urging the State to allocate at least 10% of the $125B Cares Act funding for small business grants.
