For over a decade, Paplauskas served Ward 5 on the Cranston City Council, including a distinguished term as City Council President. The first Republican elected in Ward 5 in seventy-four years, Paplauskas is known as a blue-collar champion, having earned the trust of his community by listening, acting, and delivering meaningful results. Whether advocating for good government, connecting neighbors with local businesses, or addressing everyday challenges, Paplauskas has become a steady and trusted voice for Cranston residents. In 2024, Paplauskas’ deep commitment to his neighbors inspired him to run for State Representative in District 15. In a race decided by just 26 votes, his victory was more than a political win.
