Robert (Bob) Quattrocchi represents District 41, which includes all of Scituate and a portion of Cranston. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in November 2016. In 2018, 2020, and 2024 he was appointed to leadership roles in the caucus, serving as the Deputy Minority Leader and Deputy Minority Whip. He sits as a member of the House Committee on Oversight (reviews the operation and efficiency of various state agencies, and fulfills the separation of powers legislative role); the House Committee on Municipal Government and Housing (deliberates on legislation affecting RI city and town governments, housing matters, constituent interests and transportation); and the Committee on Special Legislation. He also served as a member of the House Study Commission on Geo Engineering; and the Multi-Unit Housing Recycling Program Study Commission, which he sponsored as a freshman legislator and the study was ratified.

In his first term in office, Quattrocchi was recognized nationally with a “Conservative Excellence’ citation from the American Conservative Union Foundation, based on his House floor voting record. Not shy from asking the tough questions on behalf of Rhode Island taxpayers, he has weighed in on substantive issues such as the maintaining RI infrastructure, the PawSox deal, tolling our highways, illegal immigration, the UHIP computer failure, and the lack of proper oversight at DCYF. In the 2019 session, he inspired legislation (which passed) for dyslexia screenings and related education plans in public schools.  He has been a champion of good, clean and efficient government reforms such as: term limits; Governor’s line-item veto; stopping the diversion of funds from restricted accounts to the state’s general fund; advocating for the creation of an Auditor General; and lowering and eliminating taxes for residents and businesses. He was instrumental in bringing some tax relief to disabled veterans in 2018.

During the 2025 legislative session, Rhode Island House Minority Leader Michael Chippendale and members of the House Minority Caucus presented a detailed fiscal and policy map for the General Assembly --and the public-- to consider: The Rhode Island House Republican FY 2026 Budget and Policies Report.  House Republicans offer budget principles for a sustainable Rhode Island, which provides a stark contrast and an alternative approach to the majority's past enacted budgets. Rhode Island House Republicans seek to right-size Rhode Island's budget, which is disproportionate to the state's size, economy and population.  It is unsustainable and burdensome for taxpayers.  Republicans seek to make the government more accountable, transparent and efficient through the budgetary process.

Quattocchi owned two small businesses in Rhode Island, Quatro Brothers Concrete Finishing and Quatro Motorcycle Company. He is a graduate of the American Motorcycle Institute in Daytona, Florida. He is a member of the Scituate Lions Club, Sons and Daughters of Italy, and the Pine Tree Gun Club in Foster. He is a former member of Toastmasters International.

An active member of the community, Quattrocchi was engaged as a member of the Hope Elementary PTA and sponsored and coached Scituate Girls Youth Soccer. He supports the Scituate Art Festival, the Cranston Boy Scouts, the Scituate/ Foster Little League and the local libraries. He is a frequent volunteer and chaperone at his children’s school events. For his outstanding contributions to the community and his tireless advocacy on behalf of the residents in his District, Quattrocchi was named the 2020 Sons and Daughters of Italy - Vince Lombardi Lodge Man of the Year.

Quattrocchi is a fourth generation Rhode Islander who lived in Scituate for 50 years. He currently resides in Scituate and is married to his wife, Edwina. He has two daughters.

About rhode island house republicans

In 1636, Roger Williams, founder of Rhode Island, established the first working model of Democracy after being banished from Massachusetts for his “extreme views” concerning freedom of speech and religion. Thomas Jefferson and John Adams publicly acknowledged Williams as the originator of these concepts, along with the freedom of public assembly, in the First Amendment in the United States Constitution. Today, Rhode Island House Republicans uphold the liberties designed by our Founders and preserved in our Constitution, and are the primary legislative body promoting lean government, fighting for lower taxes, and advocating for initiatives and policies that improve the economy and in turn, the lives of Rhode Islanders.  As members of a part-time assembly, we are small business owners, retired educators, community activists, lawyers, farmers, military service veterans, volunteers, former local officials, retired social workers, coaches, musicians, churchgoers and board directors -- bringing these community engagement and professional experiences to our work, on your behalf, at the Rhode Island State House.
