Last year the 20 year no-bid contract was a BAD DEAL for Twin River, state revenues AND taxpayers. Twin River's Marc Crisafulli led the charge and pointed to all the areas of concern...specially calling out the Governor's own criteria for a "good deal." This year, now that Twin River is in on the little changed deal, it is "great." But it's not. The gross taxpayer overpayment more than doubled at $660M; we have one of the highest gaming contracts compared to other states in the country; the jobs mandate is significantly watered down, and we learned that a tech based deal should at most be 10 years. There is good reason our statute requires a robust bidding process. Join us in telling your Rep and Senator to vote NO on this insider deal.
