House Minority Leader Blake Filippi addresses special interest legislation, H7316, on the House Floor, which would limit participation in tax sales to local insiders and hurt homeowners who are down on their luck.

“There is something shady that goes on with tax sales. This legislation is helping an industry that is hurting people. I want bidding. I want property owners to retain as much of their property as they can when they are down on their luck and unable to pay their taxes. This is a bad piece of legislation. This is wrong.”
