Providence, RI - Representative Robert B. Lancia (R-Dist. 16, Cranston) will be hosting Indian consulate General Sandeep Chakrovarty on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Rep. Lancia is welcoming Mr. Chakrovarty along with the Indian Association of Rhode Island, an organization he is proud to have championed for years.
Mr. Chakrovarty is a member of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) since 1996, has served in India’s Missions in several countries. Prior to becoming Consul General of India in New York in August, 2017, he was the Ambassador of India to Peru and Bolivia.
Representative Lancia commented, saying: “I am excited to welcome Mr. Chakrovarty to Rhode Island.” A Consular Facilitation Desk will be located at 40 Astral Street, Warwick, Rhode Island 02888 on July 21, 2018 from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM in association with Indian Association of Rhode Island. Indian Passport holders/US Passport holders who have applied for or are in the process of applying for Indian Passports/Visa/OCI Cards may visit and get their applications and supporting documents pre-approved before submitting to CKGS. Misc. Consular Services which are rendered directly by the Consulate will also be completed. Rep. Lancia will be participating in his capacity as a notary public and looks forward to welcoming Consulate General Chakrovarty to Rhode Island. |
