Only Republicans voted NO while every Democrat voted in favor of this insider deal to defray energy costs to RI ratepayers.

Excerpt from Projo:
"...renewable energy development is taking place at a rapid clip in RI, fueled by state incentive(s) ... that pay above-market prices for solar & wind power. Those premium rates are funded by ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS under state law..."

Whip Chippendale:
In voting for H6066 the legislature is setting the table to give National Grid the power to defray the expensive renewable energy costs to the ratepayers. Customers are going to get hammered while National Grid, their lawyers, developers and contractors get filthy rich on the backs of RI ratepayers.
