State House, Providence - Rhode Island House Republicans responded to a letter sent to members of the General Assembly by IGT/Twin River via email earlier today (7/23/20). The IGT/Twin River letter was drafted in response to an email sent to RI House and Senate membership earlier in the week by House Republicans (7/20/20), who cited concerns in the proposed gaming contract as reported by the taxpayer funded independent gaming consultant, Christiansen Capital Advisors (CCA). House Republicans have been calling for CCA to testify before the House Finance Committee since March. The taxpayer funded independent study cost $165,000 and included two visits by CCA to Rhode Island to explain their concerning findings to legislators.
